Reflective Point
I like to offer my patients reflective points to ponder between sessions.
The intent is to help you slow, still, question and wait patiently for an answer to reveal itself. Over the years, people have had profound insights come to them in the simple asking of a still question.
Today's question is:
"Who am I now?"
Not "now since...."
Not "now that..."
Simply "now".
Trust me, there is a comparison point holding space somewhere inside you.
"A moment when" that internally, subconsciously, you are always measuring against.
The truth is, that moment isn't any longer.
Who you are now is who you are.
That "who" may, as yet, be a mystery to you -- and that's ok.
Because discovery isn't an action, it's a place.
And shockingly, its done in stillness,
the stillness that follows all the action you've been doing
to exactly this point (at the end of this sentence).
The Reflection Point is this.
Ask the question for today.
Don't seek an answer.
Simply see what is felt in the shadow of the ask.
Let it come to you furtively on its own time.
It may need time to trust you again,
to remind itself of who you are to it.
And when the answer comes.
Be still with it.
No do. Just be.
I look forward to your reflections.
